Rushva Parihar is a Research Assistant for Professor Shyama V. Ramani at UNU-MERIT. He has a master’s degree in management from Brunel University London and Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media from the University of Mumbai. He has a multidisciplinary approach towards research, which stems from his personal experiences.
He brings his expertise in marketing and brand management to research and uses a business approach towards social causes like sanitation and waste management. He has worked on the FP7 EU Project MNEmerge addressing the role of multinationals in the attainment of the MDG in emerging countries with the UNU-MERIT team.
He has previously worked with various companies including Godrej, working on research projects focusing on youth and changing national trends. He works closely with FIN India (www.friend-in-need.org) on sanitation related problems. He also has keen interest in philanthropy and is actively involved with a website for care givers of cancer patients (www.copewithcancer.org).
